I’m kind of in awe of the teachers that I’ve been sitting in on, in my recent activity of being a substitute teacher aid at different schools in the Evergreen district.  Nonstop human interaction — no hiding in your cube typing.  And they have songs, visual aids, rituals, routines … and they carry them off with the greatest of enthusiasm.  And still seem to know every kid in his or her uniqueness.
