Nizpom sent me a link to an article in The Australian about Tom Wright, saying ‘he says some alarming things.’
It’s that Wright is reluctant to say that Marcus Borg, who doesn’t believe in a bodily resurrection, is not a Christian.
I am more interested in the bulk of the article, for the articulation of his views. I think he is mainly concerned with identifying a perceived lack of orthodoxy and thus putting him in the category of not to be trusted.
He told me that someone told him that he should be careful in quoting Tom Wright, since his views are not accepted by many in the evangelical camp, and with the series on Galatians, he intends to attack Wright’s views on justification.
What Wright says about the church seems more important, though I couldn’t summarize it easily.
